Kyle Thompson, also known as Fattie B. of Burlington, Vermont has been a DJ for over 25 years. After touring the country for 9 years with one of Vermont’s all-time biggest bands (Belizbeha) throughout the 90’s as an MC, Fattie began his residency as the DJ for the 18-years-strong Retronome (a retro dance party every Saturday night at Club Metronome). He is still the DJ of this weekly event to this day.

However, this night is only a part of his DJ repertoire. Truly known as an open format selector, Fattie has consistently maintained residencies in multiple genres, including: 80’s & 90’s, hip-hop, reggae, disco, electro, club, Motown & soul, downtempo and yacht rock. His longest running residencies include: The Green Room, Plan B, Red Square (all in the past), as well as his currently running regulars at HalfLounge, SideBar, Monkey House, Foam Brewers and Breakwater Café.

Fattie also wrote a book chronicling his adventures as the DJ of the long-running Retronome parties. Titled “I WAS A 400-POUND ‘80s DJ’, the book lets you into his world as a genre-specific DJ. It’s funny, dirty, informative and thought-provoking.
